In William Shakespeare’s play, the Tempest, the main theme centers on the idea of power and exactly how the desire for it is the fundamental motivation to get humans. All the characters have some type of freedom, and yet they all have some sort of control of them, also. Through the exploration of the heroes in the play, it can be identified that Solido is the main instigator of both freedom and control.
