Introduction and Purpose Peru, among the largest countries in Peru, offers a varied selection of climates, terrain, microbes, flora, and fauna. This selection of diversity presents exclusive environmental and medical threats for the deploying U.S. military human population and imposes particular pre-deployment, intra-deployment, and redeployment preparations. The objective of this paper is to supply a medical threat evaluation to see military commanders and their employees as they plan Peruvian deployment. This evaluation will provide necessary data to optimize the fitness of service members (SM) just before deployment, reduce the threat of non-battle damage and disease during deployment, and ensure the continuing wellness of the SM upon redeployment.
