A Primer On Corporate Governance Essay

Kluyver, C. (2013). A primer on corporate governance (2nd ed.). NY, NY: Business Professional Press.
Introduction:
In my overview of A Primer on Corporate Governance by Cornelis A. de Kluyver I plan to examine, evaluate, and breakdown his tips. The book offers a general view about how companies govern themselves, and the inner and exterior forces that impact and constrain them. The largest external power is of course the government and all of the regulations imposed upon companies. Internally, they are handled by the CEO and panel of directors plus a set band of committees and corporate recommendations.
Its purpose is to greatly help educate and lead its readers towards a much better knowledge of what forces govern business behavior and the most crucial functions of goals of the CEO and table of directors, and common conditions that occur. I came across it to be extremely informative, if just a little dry, and it certainly helped broaden my sights on how are you affected behind the shut doors of major companies.
Background Information:
The content is written to greatly help readers gain a good understanding the functions of corporate governance, both outside and inside the business. Its goal is merely to impart information, not really make a claim or arguments alone. I am judging it primarily on the resources gathered, numerous good examples and explanations provided and the overall performance it possesses in successfully communicating its ideas.
