Three decades ago, kids lived energetic lives that held them more healthy. They walked to and from college, ate home cooked, affordable portion foods with vegetables and performed outdoors the majority of the time. Today, kids ride the bus rather than walk, eat more junk food and snacks during the day because parents are busier, watching more tv or play video gaming instead of be energetic outside with peers ("Learn the reality," 2010). Small children are becoming over weight and obese along with becoming identified as having type 2 diabetes more often. They are producing poor dietary options, inadequate exercise, and spending an excessive amount of screen time all adding to the obesity crisis. Among the effective answers to reversing the pattern of childhood weight problems is to supply safe, affordable and available after-school health and conditioning educational applications for all school age range over the nation.
